Nothing to collect.

Turn It Up, Son! works entirely on your device. Here is exactly what it does and does not do, in plain English.

Last updated October 22, 2026

9Pieces of personal data collected
9Trackers, ads or analytics in the extension
9Bytes of your audio sent anywhere

01What stays on your device

All of your settings live in the browser's own extension storage on your computer: volume levels, theme, glow, language, bass and effect settings, saved mixes, auto-skip lists and the state of each tab. None of it ever leaves your device.

Removing the extension deletes all of it. You can also wipe everything at any time with Clear all extension data in the extension settings.

02How sound is processed

To boost the volume and add effects, the extension runs the sound of a tab through the browser's built-in audio tools, in real time, on your computer.

The audio is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere. It passes through, gets louder or gets effects, and plays.

03Permissions and site access

The extension asks for access to a website only when you turn on a feature that needs it (playback speed, auto-skip and auto-continue), and gives that access back when you turn the feature off. When none of them is on, the extension keeps no code on any page.

04Network requests: the full list

During normal use the extension makes no network requests at all. There are exactly two optional cases, and both start with you.

Track link lookup

When you paste a song link into the auto-skip list, the extension asks the public track-info service of YouTube, Spotify or SoundCloud for the title and artist of that one link. Only the link is sent.

Feedback you choose to send

The bug report box in the extension settings sends the text you typed and the extension's version number to a Google Form. The page that opens after you remove the extension can send the reason you pick and anything you type to the same form. No account, no email, no identifiers.

That is the complete list. There is no telemetry and no usage reporting of any kind. When you remove the extension, the browser opens a goodbye page on this website. It carries no information about you.

05Third parties

Your data is never sold or shared, because there is none to sell. The only outside services involved are the ones listed above: the public track-info services of YouTube, Spotify and SoundCloud, and Google Forms.

Like any website, they can see standard connection details such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies. The extension adds nothing to that.

06This website

  • No cookies, no analytics scripts, no ads. Every file on letmecook.pl, from the fonts to the demo songs, is served from this site. Nothing is loaded from other companies.
  • Hosted on Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare sees standard request details such as your IP address. The only statistics we look at are Cloudflare's total visit counts, which use no cookies and do not identify anyone.
  • The live demo runs in your browser. It plays its songs through the same audio engine as the extension. Nothing is recorded or uploaded. To behave like the real thing, the demo popup saves its settings in this site's local storage in your browser. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
  • Your browser's name stays with you. The install buttons show Chrome, Edge or Brave depending on your browser. That check happens in your browser and is not sent anywhere.
  • Links to other sites such as the Chrome Web Store, GitHub, Buy Me a Coffee, ccMixter and Creative Commons take you to pages with their own privacy policies.

07Your choices

Everything the extension keeps is on your device, so you are in full control: clear it in the settings, or remove the extension and it is gone.

Feedback is anonymous, so it cannot be linked back to you. If you typed something into a feedback box and want it deleted, open an issue on GitHub that quotes the text, and it will be removed.

08Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.

Questions go through the bug report box in the extension settings, or through GitHub issues.
